About

Who Am I?

Currently in my sixth year of private practice, I deeply value the opportunity to work with individuals and couples, offering them a nurturing environment to navigate their personal journeys amidst moments of stress, happiness, sorrow, or change. My 18 years of social work experience have encompassed home visits to vulnerable youth and families in areas ranging from rural New Hampshire to deeply impoverished neighborhoods in Boston, Cleveland, and New York, as well as in the community mental health centers that support these neighborhoods. My master’s level training focused on Early Childhood Mental Health, and it was in this program that I developed a deep awareness of the importance of maternal mental health in the well-being of all people. This awareness still drives my passion for working with women in their pregnancy and parenting years, and especially those who are working to break family cycles of violence and mental illness. At present, my practice allows me to joyfully pursue my calling of assisting women in transition, supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, and aiding couples in navigating times of challenge or change. During client sessions, either via telehealth or within my home office, my desire is to provide an environment that exudes warmth and comfort to create a sense of ease, fostering a space where my clients can freely access and share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My expertise encompasses training in perinatal mental health, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and mind-body treatment approaches. I approach therapy from an eclectic but always trauma-informed perspective, calling on elements of CBT, DBT, polyvagal and mindfulness approaches. Informed by developmental, feminist, and intersectional theories, I partner with each client to deliver treatment that is uniquely tailored to them. My passion for my work is also fueled by many of my past and present experiences. As a mother of four within a committed polyamorous partnership, I intimately grasp the intricate dynamics of diverse household arrangements, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and the many joys and challenges of parenting. As part of my own self-care regimen, I engage in yoga and meditation practices. In my down time I can be found reading fiction, tending my plants, or spending time outside with my family.
